From Emma Hernan‘s controversial romance with Blake Davis to her ongoing feud with Chrishell Stause, the Selling Sunset season 9 reunion mentioned it all.
The Wednesday, November 5, special gave Chrishell, Emma, Mary Bonnet, Amanza Smith, Chelsea Lazkani, Nicole Young, Bre Tiesi, Alanna Gold, Sandra Vergara, Jason Oppenheim and Brett Oppenheim an opportunity to hash out their issues.
While host Tan France tried to bridge the gap between several fractured friendships, it seemed like most of the issues were left unresolved. By the end of the reunion, the cast remained largely at odds as viewers continued to question the future of the show.

Nicole’s Controversial Comments About Chrishell’s Parents

Earlier in the reunion, Nicole was called on stage to explain why she brought up Chrishell’s late parents during a fight.
“Someone had come at me and accused me of drug use yet again. I was showing that there was a proven record of projection. Enough is enough,” Nicole said. “I also want to make something very clear. It was repeated that I said dead parents. I know it is only a one word difference. But that is a very big difference from saying dead parents.”
Amanza, Chelsea and Alanna came to Chrishell’s defense, with Amanza specifically calling Nicole’s comments “disgusting.” Mary, meanwhile, stepped in to support Nicole by calling the entire back and forth between costars “mean.”
Nicole was asked three times if she wanted to apologize to Chrishell — but still didn’t.
“You are trying to accuse me of having certain malicious intentions. I knew what I was saying in that moment. I was pointing out that I have nothing to do with this obsession and this situation,” she noted. “I would never mock that or attack your parents or anyone’s parents. I would like to apologize [for] the intent that was taken from it.”
Nicole’s Future at the Brokerage

Jason offered an update on his working relationship with Nicole, saying, “She is not out of the brokerage, but it was healthy for her to step away from the office.” The topic quickly changed and Nicole was dismissed from the stage, which she previously called out on social media.
“I sit in my trailer so long that I watch four movies… they finally bring me out to set, they sit me down and they want me to address one specific instance. So I do. And then, the moderator goes, ‘OK, thanks Nicole, it was great to see you,’” Nicole claimed via TikTok in August. “I really, just, never experienced a situation where it was so obvious that the intent was to not give me the opportunity to speak. Unreal. But you know what? Sometimes you just have to recognize things that no longer serve you. And this is one of them.”
Emma’s Boyfriend Driving a Wedge With Chrishell

When the reunion was filmed, Emma wasn’t dating Blake — but she was still defending their relationship.
“Who hasn’t dated a guy that your family or friends don’t agree with? I am human and I have feelings. Unfortunately, I made a connection with someone who isn’t the most likable person. There was a conversation that needed to be had,” Emma explained. “He doesn’t always behave, so that is why I take distance a lot.”
She continued: “There have been multiple times where I haven’t spoken to him for two to three months at a time — like, completely ghost. At that moment, I feel like I will never speak to him again and then they will be able to see that I am with him. There’s a bond there. I am not saying he is the person I am going to marry. But I have had three boyfriends and he is the third.”
Chrishell, meanwhile, claimed “a lot” of her issues with Blake weren’t “covered” on the show.
“I was there to help pick her up when they would break up and I would hear all of these horrible things — horrific things. You never want your friend to go back to that. What I can do is extract myself from a situation that is a toxic cycle,” she noted. “I can’t get an answer from you and you are lying about things that you are very clearly lying about. You are flaking on your friends and I really take that as a hit to the friendship.”
During the back and forth, Chelsea jumped in to offer her perspective.
“When you are in this relationship — that I would personally call toxic — sometimes you do and say things that aren’t the most rational,” she told Emma. “And you aren’t always thinking because you are in love. You can’t see straight or right from wrong. She had no intention of hurting Chrishell, but it happened, because she loved this person who is not good for her.”
Chelsea went on to call Emma “emotionally manipulated and brainwashed.” Jason and Amanza agreed that Emma was struggling because of her off-and-on relationship with Blake.
Chrishell’s Claims Against Blake

Emma admitted she was more upset that Chrishell took to social media after filming wrapped to accuse Blake of using a racial slur and mocking pronouns.
“[You were affected] because of what I wrote or because of what he said and did?” Chrishell asked Emma. “He told me proudly that he openly uses the N-word. He thinks if people are singing the lyrics and they don’t say it then they are too woke.”
Emma denied the claims about Blake, adding, “I don’t think Blake is super appropriate, but what was put online was not how he said it. He never said he was MAGA. He never said his political views. He never said pronouns are stupid. I don’t agree with a ton of things that he does, but he was trying to relate to Chrishell and he wants people to like him.”
As the fight escalated, Chrishell issued an apology to Emma.
“I am frustrated because I have gotten no accountability from her. I am sorry I put it on social media. What he said, I am sorry I repeated it on social media. I was extremely disappointed that you would still date someone with those views for a year and a half,” she told Emma. “I tried as hard as I could to be there as a friend for you. Every single action I ever made was out of care and love for you. I just want you to be happy and be cared for by somebody and know how to treat you. I am happy to step back.”
Emma wasn’t happy that Chrishell didn’t support her when she “needed a friend.”
Mary Gets Involved

The OG cast member stepped in after Chrishell said on stage that Emma previously called her whispering in the bathroom while dating Blake. Mary accused Chrishell of how she “exposed” something “extremely private” about Emma’s personal life.
“If you were that worried and you said how scared you are for her then why are you abandoning her?” she asked Chrishell, which set off an argument with the other cast members about Chrishell posting private moments on social media.
The fight about social media caused Bre to call out Chrishell. More specifically, Bre mentioned Chrishell putting her on blast for allegedly speaking badly about her and partner G Flip. Bre denied the accusations and the duo argued as Tan called for a lunch break.

Chelsea admitted she was most frustrated with Mary claiming she wasn’t a single mother because she allegedly received financial support from ex Jeff Lazkani.
“I don’t receive any support at all. None,” she noted. “Since the day I filed for divorce, every single dollar that takes care of my household, my life and my kids [is mine].”
Mary seemed surprised by Chelsea saying she gets “no child support,” which the latter noted was “public” information. The reunion wrapped up with Tan asking Mary if she saw a resolution after being at odds with Chelsea all season.
“I don’t think that the dynamic in the office is healthy,” Mary said. “I think there is a lot of conflict. It’s distracting for productivity. It is Jason and Brett’s call at the end of the day.”
