Offset is turning heartbreak into hits.
The rapper just dropped his latest album KIARI with raw lyrics, big-name features, and a whole lot of emotional honesty.
Offset, real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus, made his return to the spotlight on Friday, August 22, with the release of his third solo album.
The 18-track album features a slew of collaborations from musicians, including YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Gunna, YFN Lucci, Ty Dolla $ign, John Legend, and Key Glock.
KIARI marks Offset’s latest and his first album since 2023’s Set It Off. His two previous albums both debuted in the top five of the Billboard 200 chart.
This new record offers a personal look into the Migos singer’s current chapter, one of closure and emotional growth.
Speaking to the Associated Press, the Atlanta rapper shared the deeper meaning behind the project.
“It’s about moving on, like, peacefully. That’s what the message is supposed to be,” he said. “It’s all love and peace. I just ended the album with that, just to end that chapter because it’s time to move on, it’s over and done with.”
In particular, Offset was referring to the album’s closing track, Move On, which reflects on his decision to move forward from his relationship with Cardi B.
