Ginny and Georgia Season 4: What to Know After Pregnancy Twist Clutch Fire

It’s a good thing Ginny & Georgia has already been renewed for season 4 because that pregnancy twist — and the paternity drama — is just getting started.

The hit Netflix series, which premiered in 2021, follows a young single mother named Georgia (Brianne Howey) who moved her family to Wellsbury, Massachusetts, after running away from her murderous past. When season 3 wrapped up, Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and her brother, Austin (Diesel La Torraca), found a way to help Georgia escape prison time by framing Gil (Aaron Ashmore).

The Miller family didn’t get to celebrate their new normal for long — by the end of the episode, Ginny realized Georgia was pregnant. The problem? It was unclear whether her estranged husband, Paul (Scott Porter), or love interest Joe (Raymond Ablack) was the father.

“In my heart, Joe is the father,” Ablack exclusively told Us Weekly in June 2025. “But I don’t know. I have no idea. I’m as eager for episode 1 of season 4 as everyone else is to find that truth.”

Porter, meanwhile, couldn’t choose a side. “With our writers and with all the curve balls they like to throw — not only at the audience but us actors — who knows what’s coming around the corner,” he noted to Us. “So I’ve got zero idea.”

Elsewhere in the season, Marcus (Felix Mallard) hit rock bottom and was driven to rehab. His twin, Max (Sara Waisglass), struggled with her own mental health while Ginny’s relationship with brother Austin changed.

Netflix previously picked Ginny & Georgia up for seasons 3 and 4. The fourth season is expected to have 10 episodes and would pick up immediately after the events in the season 3 finale.

In addition to Howey, Gentry, Mallard, Waisglass, La Torraca, Porter and Ablack, Jennifer Robertson, Katie Douglas, Chelsea Clark, Nathan Mitchell and Katelyn Wells are returning.

Aaron Ashmore, Vinessa Antoine and Noah Lamanna make up the rest of the cast. (The finale also hinted that Georgia’s parents would come into the picture.)

Has the Father of Georgia’s Baby Been Chosen?

“When we entered the season 4 writers’ room, I knew unequivocally without a doubt whose baby it was,” creator Sarah Lampert exclusively told Us in June 2025. “I came into the writers’ room and I said, ‘Here’s whose baby it is. Change my mind.’ The writers’ room is phenomenal. Our writers are fantastic and truly it’s such a kinetic, live and ever-morphing thing.”

It is unclear whether the decision potentially shifted along the way. “That’s what makes the show good is it really becomes alive at every stage of the process. But certainly in the writers’ room. So it wasn’t decided,” Lampert revealed. “They’ve changed my mind before. I’ll put it that way.”

She concluded: “Oh [we were] utterly divided. We went back and forth and back and forth. It was a full-on school debate effort. It was phenomenal because there’s pros and cons story wise to both — but there’s one clear answer and I’m not going to say what it is.”

Will Paul and Georgia’s Issues Be Addressed?

“It’s one of those fool me once, fool me twice situations here. I think Paul is going to think long and hard about anything else that comes out of Georgia’s mouth,” Porter told Us about how Georgia’s lies will further complicate the situation. “It’s really heartbreaking that that’s the case. He asked her for so long to let him in, to just be honest with him and now it’s to the point where he can’t believe a word she says. That’s just heartbreaking to me.”

Porter added: “Hopefully they can get back to terms where at least they speak and they see each other again in a little bit of a positive light. But I don’t know if it’s possible.”

Where Is Austin’s Story Going?

“It evolves a lot. I think [Ginny and Austin] really have to work together,” La Torraca told Us. “Getting through their emotions with Georgia’s trial and everything. Their relationship at the end of the season ends in a pretty significant way that we will see in season 4.”

How Will Season 4 Expand on Abby’s Story?

During an interview with Us, Douglas weighed in on Abby’s eating disorder, saying, “We see Abby display a lot more vulnerability than she has before and her friends do take notice. So now that she’s finally confronted with it, she’s not isolated with this kind of all consuming secret.”

Douglas continued: “I would just love to see all be OK. I would love to see Abby kind of get the help that she needs and also just understand yourself more and accept yourself more and ditch the self-deprecation.”

Abby also found love with someone new.

“Abby is thriving in this new love — in her new situation with Tris — because she is vulnerable for the first time in a long time. Tris brings something new out of Abby,” she continued. “This is actually very good rather than toxic. She’s been in a lot of toxic relationships and doing things performatively or in a self-harm type of way. This one is actually very genuine and real.”

Where Does MANG Go From Here?

Douglas teased where the core friendship of the show would end up after their fight, telling Us, “Something that our show does really well is representing women, supporting women and this is stuff that we love shooting the most. That story line is basically supposed to explain how important it’s for women to hold each other up. In doing that, we kind of have to show what it looks like when we don’t.”

Clark remained positive about what is still to come.

“I am such an advocate for healthy arguments. It’s so important to be able to express how you’re feeling and be able to get angry with your friends and come to a resolution,” she noted to Us. “That was a lesson that I had to learn. I feel like getting them to that point was really important because the friendship can only be rebuilt from that.”

She added: “If you were just supposed to carry on and be fake and hold it all in, then MANG would [have] fallen apart and be gone like that. But the work that they put into and the loyalty that they feel for each other is shown in their willingness to be at that state with each other.”

How Will Rehab Help Marcus?

Lampert confirmed it was always the plan to get Marcus help. “Rehab was always the destination. What’s interesting about this season is he goes to rehab — but he doesn’t feel he should be going to rehab,” she told Us. “So it’s not necessarily going to be the solution or the bandaid until he thinks he needs the help.”

Could Georgia Kill More People?

“Stakes would have to be very, very high because she is aware going into season 4 that if she were to do this again, her relationship with her daughter would be over,” Lampert shared. “For that to happen, s*** would really have to hit the fan, wouldn’t it?”

She concluded: “For me, season 4 is about following the characters’ emotional journey. It’s always the real main character of the show is the relationship between Ginny and Georgia. So it’s just always evolving.”
