The Star Trek actor Tom Troupe has passed away at the age of 97.

The American star, known for his role in Kelly Heroes, died of natural causes on Sunday, July 20, at his home in Beverly Hills.

Following the heartbreaking update, fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to pay tribute to the late actor.

One fan wrote, “Losing a generation of actors that are not being replaced.”

Another penned, “Rest in peace legend.”

A third added, “God bless him……. Long life.”

Reflecting on Troupe’s recent 97th birthday, one user commented, “RIP Tom Troupe who passed away yesterday, just days after celebrating his 97th birthday.”

Over his six-decade career, the Arena actor appeared in more than 75 TV shows – including Star Trek, Cheers, Murder, She Wrote, Wild West, Knots Landing, The Wild, and Cagney and Lacey.

The Dan August alum, born in Kansas City, Missouri, made his Broadway debut in The Diary of Anne Frank in 1957.

On stage, Troupe performed alongside his wife, Carole Cook, in several productions, including The Gin Game, The Lion in Winter, and Father’s Day.

It is pertinent to mention that Troupe is survived by son, Christopher, and daughter-in-law, Becky Coulter.

For the unversed, his wife, Carole, passed away in 2023.
