Will Smith is currently under fire for serious allegations from fans who claim that the singer used AI-generated pictures of crowds enjoying his concerts on tour.
The 56-year-old actor and singer kicked off his True Story Summer Tour on July 13 and will be performing the last show in early September.
The tour celebrates the singer’s comeback to music with the release of his first full-length album in 20 year.
The Men in Black star posted a one-minute video on his YouTube channel earlier this month, and it sparked a huge debate online, concerning the originality of the video.
The promotional video featured Smith performing to a cheering audience in a sold-out venue, which was accused of being artificially created.
“My favourite part of tour is seeing you all up close. Thank you for seeing me too,” wrote the rapper in caption.
The comments section was quickly flooded with comments accusing Smith, with one writing, “Fake AI crowd, fake comments, bots like. 21k ‘likes’ for Will Smith?”
The social media user was supported by others in the comments echoing the same opinion, claiming that the video was generated to appear as if the audience was of a greater magnitude.
