Luke Hemmings just melted fans’ hearts with a joyful surprise.
The 5 Seconds of Summer frontman has secretly welcomed his first child with wife Sierra Deaton.
The new parents shared the delightful news in a joint Instagram post on Friday, August 22, taking fans completely by surprise.
“Our best kept secret [white heart emoji]. Written and Produced by Sierra and Luke Hemmings,” they captioned a sweet carousel of photos and a short video.
The first photo offered a precious glimpse of their baby girl’s tiny hands, gently held by her mom, as the newborn clutched a small bouquet of flowers.
The rest of the post featured dreamy maternity shots of the couple. One image captured them cuddling in a flower-filled garden as they cradled Sierra’s baby bump.
Another clip showed the proud father tenderly kissing his pregnant wife’s bare belly, followed by a radiant photo of Sierra standing among pink blossoms.
The final image showed the doting dad cradling his baby daughter’s tiny feet in his hands.
In a heartfelt comment, Hemmings explained why they kept the news private. “In our perfect world, we’d keep our daughter a secret forever… for similar reasons we chose to never share our wedding photos from years ago,” they wrote.
The couple welcomed the new addition to their family four years after getting engaged in 2020, having started dating in 2018.
