Noah Cyrus has finally addressed the swirling rumours surrounding her family’s alleged feud.
In a candid interview with People magazine, the 25-year-old singer-songwriter revealed that she keeps herself “quite separated” from the drama surrounding her family.
“The one thing that’s connected us with the entire world is music, and that’s what’s most important to us,” she emphasised.
Noah opened up about how she navigates the outside noise and tries not to get caught up in the speculation, especially after her parents’ 2022 divorce sparked rumors of a family rift.
“Yeah, it emotionally is draining, but it doesn’t hurt us or touch us. It’s something that you really learn to keep separate and far away from yourself,” she explained.
Despite the speculation, Noah reassured that her family remains united, saying, “Everybody’s great and loves each other.” She attributed her ability to handle public scrutiny to growing up in the spotlight.
“I think when you grow up with that being normal—things being public—that it doesn’t quite reach you. At the end of the day, this is a family, and that’s really it: just going through normal family stuff.”
The Cyrus family has been under scrutiny since Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus’ divorce. Tish’s subsequent marriage to Dominic Purcell, who allegedly had a casual relationship with Noah before dating her mom, has been a point of contention.
Noah reportedly felt hurt by her mom’s decision to pursue a relationship with someone she had been involved with. Despite this, both Tish and Noah seem to be working on rebuilding their relationship.
Miley Cyrus, Noah’s sister, reportedly thinks the situation is “strange,” but loves her mom and wants her to be happy. Miley was supportive of her mom’s relationship with Dominic and even walked her down the aisle at the wedding.
